Equinox Engineering is proud to have successfully executed the engineering design of the Spectra Energy Midstream West Doe Sour Gas Plant.
This facility is one of the largest sour gas processing facilities to be designed and constructed in northern BC in recent years. The facility provides centralized and cost effective gas processing in the heart of the Montney resource play.
All three phases of the West Doe facility were 3D modelled, allowing the client (and its Operations personnel) to review the design at various progress milestones.
Equinox worked closely with its client to address and overcome the challenges faced in the development of this successful Montney facility.
The facility is designed with total inlet capacity of 98.5 MMscfd to handle process gas with varying levels of H2S and CO2 from the Montney and Doig formations.
The process trains contain inlet separation, inlet compression, amine sweetening, refrigeration, condensate stabilization, acid gas compression, acid gas blending, vapour recovery and recycle system & final sales compression systems. The facility also contains storage for produced water, condensate and NGL with truck-out facility.
