Practical, hands-on experience and expertise in 2D & 3D drafting design for oil and gas facilities:

3D Design – Bentley AutoPlant

Utilizing Bentley AutoPLANT 3D, the Equinox design team delivers high quality, accurate drawings as part of a 3D model. Working in a 3D environment allows the designer to work more effectively, with visualization of the facility model by client and design team from any angle being effortless. From the 3D model, drawings including piping, equipment, structural, isometrics, P&IDs are developed accurately and also allow efficient generation of Bill of Materials. Interference and/or clash detection checks are also completed easily. The 3D model generates all 2D orthographic drawings.

2D Design – AutoCAD, ProCAD

Equinox also utilizes AutoCAD, ProCAD (AutoORTHO, AutoFLOW, AutoISO, AutoELECTRIC) for its client work including all aspects of fabricated package design as well as the modification of existing equipment.

The department has expertise in oil & gas projects executed in Western Canadian including processing facilities, pipeline, wellsite tie-ins and field facilities such as line heaters, compressor stations, dehys, gathering systems and sales pipeline systems.
