Equinox designed and installed this new 6500 m3/day (41,000 bbl/day) oil battery in southern Saskatchewan, with 95% water cut that produced 2050 bbl/d of oil. The oil was 10.6 API with associated sour gas of 4% H2S. The plant design includes free water knock out (FWKO), heat exchanger, oil treater, oil tankage, water tankage, pop tank, recycle pumps, 600 hp water injection pump, flare knockout drums.
This successful EPCM project executed by Equinox included a new 1,400 m3/d (8,600 bbl/day) heavy oil battery, 87% water cut, 13° API oil with associated sweet solution gas (0 ppm H2S) and an infrastructure for gathering and tie-in of 23 oil wells feeding into the plant.
This successful EPCM project executed by Equinox included a complete
oil battery & gas processing facility with accompanying wellsite
and pipeline work in the Rainbow Lake area. The project included 3 wellsites
tied into the plant facilities. Each wellsite required 3” pipelines
(for oil and sour associated gas) and 4” pipelines (for sour non-associated
gas) going to the plant, as well as 2” sweet fuel gas lines from
the plant back to the wellsites. Lineheaters for each site were also
part of the entire scope. From the plant site a 6” sour, dehydrated
gas & condensate liquid pipeline was constructed to tie into the
3rd party facilities. Another 2” sweet fuel gas line returned into
the plant. The plant site design and construction included inlet separation,
oil test separator, non-associated gas test separator, sales gas compression,
dehydration, recycle gas compression, condensate & oil storage tanks,
high-pressure flare knock-out and incinerator. Equinox also completed
the overall PLC / SCADA design and programming.
